Peanut Peanut has a severe case of Chronic Keratoconjuntivis Sicca. Peanuts tear ducts in both eyes were not working at all, and without Parotid Duct Transposition surgery she would have lived a life of pain and went blind. Peanut had the surgery in August of 2015. Parotid Duct Transposition is a surgical procedure to move the outflow of the salivary gland in her mouth to each of her eyes. The saliva will be stimulated to produce "tears" each time she eats. Her eyes will never be normal and she will still need drops several times a day for the rest of her life. She developed an ulcer which has since been cleared, but she needs several types of eye medication approximately 14 times a day for life.
